How are you actively fighting the fleshly desires that war inside of you? How do we fight this from victory, knowing Jesus has already won the war over our sins? (v. 11)
If Jesus has already won the war over our sins, why is it so important that we actively engage in the battle over our sin? What’s at stake if we don’t?
Share an example from your life when you conducted yourself honorably among unbelievers, received ridicule but God was glorified through it. (v. 12)
Talk through the truth that by submitting to earthly authority, we are submitting to God. Is this easy or difficult to do?
How is it possible to live as free people with the command to be God’s slaves? How do these two seemingly contradicting truths actually fit together to be a vital piece of the foundation of our faith? (v. 16)
As a Christian, when is a time in your life you’ve felt the freest and experienced the most joy?
