God is at work throughout the Twin Cities, and we are invited to join Him. We’ve created the document to help our church live out Christ’s call to love our neighbors. This resource offers practical ways to engage our community with compassion, generosity, and hope.

Our vision is to be a movement of Jesus for the campus and the cities, which means that we want to leverage our time and talent outside of our four walls. We partner with a multitude of different organizations helping to serve the needs of the Twin Cities.

AREAS OF FOCUS

Food Insecurity

  • The Humanity Alliance is a Minnesota-based 501(c)(3) non-profit established in 2018 that aspires to create long-lasting community value. The mission of The Humanity Alliance is to restore love and dignity as we serve our most vulnerable populations.

    Their initial focus is providing improved access to nutrition to people who are food insecure and was inspired by a group of Minneapolis high school students. These students and their families are disproportionately held back by the catastrophic health outcomes tied to food insecurity.

  • Every Meal fights child hunger by focusing on filling the food gaps children face, especially on the weekends, when they’re not able to eat school meals. When they don’t have consistent access to enough food, the risk of hunger is very real. Through our multiple food gap programs, we provide children and families experiencing food insecurity with access to good food.

Loving Youth & Families

  • For more than 50 years, New Life Family Services has been serving Minnesota families as one of the most comprehensive, faith-based non-profit organizations of its kind. We are committed to providing professional, life-affirming care through no-cost pregnancy, parenting, and post-abortion services, as well as licensed adoption services.

  • Together for Good (TFG) creates pathways for the Church to come alongside vulnerable children and families in Christ-centered ministry. Together, we work to ensure that families never walk alone.

    When parents face a crisis without a support system, they become vulnerable, which increases the risk of trauma for children. 

    ​

    At TFG, we offer a safe home for children so that parents can pursue stability. This happens through our host families, who are trained volunteers who welcome at-risk children into their homes – without being paid – for either short-term or long-term care. Additionally, we train and connect parent advocates to our TFG participant parents to provide ongoing relational support so that parents can focus on being the best parents that they can be

  • TreeHouse has been serving teens since 1984, helping them build relationships and resiliency rooted in living hope. We’re based in Minnesota, but we have sites across the country. Each of our sites host programs that give teens a safe space to find support and belonging. Through mentorships, retreats, and other off-site activities, teens have the opportunity to build even deeper relationships with peers and caring adults.

Supporting Those In Crisis

  • International Friendship Connection is Redemption’s international student ministry, dedicated to creating a welcoming space for international students at the University of Minnesota. (10% of the students at the University of Minnesota are international students)

    Through IFC, we hope to be a “home away from home” for these international students, building friendships that bridge cultures and share the hope of the Gospel.

  • Breaking Free is a survivor-driven organization committed to empowering individuals impacted by sex trafficking to rebuild their lives. We provide a comprehensive range of services, including safe housing, direct advocacy, healing programs, and support for survivors and their families. In addition to offering permanent and supportive housing for over 50 family units, we reach even more individuals through mobile advocacy, meeting survivors where they are to provide critical resources and care.

  • At the Naomi Family Program (NFP), a program of Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities (UGMTC), we know the path to stability starts with meeting basic needs. We provide safe shelter and meals—but that’s just the start. We want to see each woman, and mother with children, move toward healing and stability. That’s why our program surrounds the whole person—body, mind and soul—with the loving and excellent care they need to thrive.
